NA PIARSAIGH are the county senior hurling champions for the second time in three years. The city based side, favourites going into Sunday’s decider, defeated a valiant Adare on a scoreline of 0-14 to 0-12. The defeat for Adare, was their second final loss in a row.
In what was a tough and physical game, played in wet and windy conditions, the 3,604 patrons were treated to a man of the match performance from Kevin Downes. We travelled in mass to Bruff on Saturday for the County Under 16 hurling final against Doon.
High expectations follow this team largely due their unbeaten run for the past number of years.
This was a tough game with every scored well earned particularly in the first half.
Doon had the better of the early exchanges and were good value for their early lead.
However we finally settled and began to hurl and by half time we opened up a four point lead. Continue reading

The under 14 footballers annexed the Under 14 Div 2 Football county championship on Sunday following a brilliant victory over South Liberties in Claughan.
We got off to a great start and were two goals to the good inside the first five minutes courtesy of Jamie Mitchell.
The team were performing very well and with points from Glen Clancy(2), Cian O Rahilly(2) and Cameron Di Bennedetto.
