Intermediate Footballers snatch late draw

We were back in action again on the Thursday night when we travelled to Martinstown for the Intermediate Football Championship to take on Cappamore.

Playing into the teeth of the breeze we open the game well and got the first score courtesy of an Alan Dempsey point.
However aided with the breeze Cappamore opened up a sizeable lead which could have been bigger but for a great save from goalkeeper Brendan Donnelly.
Points from Kieran Daly, Andrew O Byrne, Evan Egan and Aaron Costelloe had us right back into the game to trail by a goal 1-7 to 0-7 at the break.
Shortly after the break we had a goal from corner back Pat Gleeson to put us right back into the game.
It was ace free taker Aaron Costelloe who had the last act to divide the posts and level the game.
A decent performance in difficult conditions.
Team: Brendan Donnelly, Pat Gleeson(1-0), Dean McLoughlin, Alan Finnegan, Daragh Kennedy, Kevin Nolan(capt), Ronan McKenna, Eoghan Kehilly, Andrew O Byrne(0-1), Alan Dempsey(0-2), Cian Coady, Evan Egan(0-2f), Kieran Daly(0-1), Eoin Hogan, Aaron Costelloe(0-4f).
