Senior Footballers keep their quarter final hopes alive


Our senior footballers enjoyed a comprehensive victory over St Kierans in Round 4 of the County Senior Football Championship on Friday evening to keep alive their hopes of a quarter final spot.
We began brightly and had early points from Dylan Cronin,Eoin Hogan, Kieran Daly and Podge Kennedy to put us in control along with a very good goal from Aaron Costelloe to take a 5 point lead into the break 1-5 to 0-3.
We continued the second half where we left off with further points from Gordon Brown,Evan Egan, Kieran Daly and Kieran Barr but conceded a rather soft goal to allow our opponents back into the game.
However we showed good character and mid way through the second half we had our second and decisive goal from Gordon Brown to put the seal on a very good performance. Final Score Na Piarsaigh 2-13 St Kierans 1-5
Best performers on the night were Gordon Brown, Kieran Daly, Dylan Cronin, Podge Kennedy and Evan Egan.
