Our street league finals took place on Saturday morning down in the club and in spite of the heavy rain the show went on.
With a large crowd in attendance it was the CBS Pipe band who led proceedings as the players marched behind the band with great pride.
It was then onto the pitch where some great games took place from under 6 to under 12.
Following the action it was back into the clubhouse for the presentation of medals and some lovely tea and cakes which were on sale by our Club na nOg committee and friends.
Our long time supporter and sponsor Peter Boylan was also on hand to present the trophies and to Peter we say a huge thank you indeed for your continued generosity. It really is appreciated.
The end of year street leagues would not be complete without the visit of the man himself Santa Claus who arrived to a rapturous welcome.
We also for the first time played for the David Bourke memorial Cup at under 12 level/
David was a great servant to our club before being taken from us at an early age.Davids mam and dad were on hand to present the cup to Steven Mitchell the winning captain.
A sincere thank you to all our coaches for their massive effort and commitment throughout the year, our shop staff who catered for the pandemonium every Saturday morning and our bar manager for his efforts also.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to all who contributed to our cake sale on Saturday especially all our cake, bun and bread makers.
We now head off to enjoy the christmas before returning to the pitch on Jan 30th where we will recommence our Saturday morning training,
We wish all our players supporters, parents and friends the very best wishes for xmas and the new year
