We held a very successful weekend to commemerate 1916 and Padraig Pearse.
On Friday evening we were entertained by the boys of Scoil Criost Ri with wonderful singing and tin whistle display along with the wonderfully talented dancers from Scoil Ui Ruairc.
We then listened to an in depth lecture on 1916 from the excellent Gearoid O Tuathaigh eminent Professor .
The night was finished off superbly by a range of musicians brilliantly led by senior hurling captain Cathall Mac an Ri and friends.
On Saturday we welcomed Padraig Pearses of Galway and Padraig Pearses of Roscommon to Pairc Dromguil for games against our senior hurlers and footballers along with games at under 10 and 12 level also.
We appreciate all the support received from both clubs.
Day 2 drew to a close with our good friends ” The Galvins” rocking out the tunes.
And so to Sunday and day 3 of an excellent weekend.
Cratloe provided the opposition for our under age camogie team and Pearses of Galway took on our Intermediates .
Honours even at the end of play as everyone headed fro the clubhouse and light refreshments.
Miller buiochas to all involved in organising this great event and special mention to our MC for the evening Aine O Cinneide.
