Na Piarsaigh Limerick

Under 12 hurlers going nicely

U12 League
Monaleen 1-2
Na Piarsaigh 6-8

A fine all around display saw our U12 hurlers overcome Monaleen at their home ground. A perfect evening for hurling saw us race into an early lead with scores from Josh Sheehan 1-1, James Naughton 0-2 and 0-2 from Vince Harrington, including a magnificent side line cut. Wayne Kearns and Matthew McGann were dominating midfield and Killian McNamara was keeping all at bay at full back. Half time saw us lead 1-5 to 0-0. The second half brought some of our best hurling this year with great first touches all round. Cormac Benson and Andrew Stack were excellent all throughout ( both playing their best match of the year so far) and James Finn was very assured in goals. Further scores followed from James Naughton, who ran riot scoring a further 3 goals from play and Vince Harrington who tacked on another 2-2. Wayne Kearns completed the scoring with a fine point.
Ben Sheehan and Jack Wall worked very hard throughout and Shane Downey, Luke Shinnors and Rory Hehir all showed well. Monaleen were missing a few regulars but we could ask no more of our lads than they did. Cratloe , away on Thursday 12th and St Patrick’s away on the 19th are next up. Well done guys.
