Club na nOg

Our Saturday morning training sessions for our under 6 to under 10s came to a close on Sat 13th Dec 2020 following a very challenging year.
Having been a stop start season for everyone it was great to sign off the season in style.
The season had a different finish this time around due to social distancing and Covid restrictions.
This year it was a skills competition and small sided games with a vist from Santa Claus this time on the field instead of his usual cosy surroundings of the clubhouse.
A huge thank you to all our coaches who dedicated their mornings to the kids passing on their knowledge and allowing the kids to learn the foundations and skills in the true spirit of the Gaelic Games.
A big thank you to oue Street League Sponsor Peter Boylan for his continued generosity and also to our minor hurler Frankie Naughton who played the bagpipes that morning
A big thank you also to the players and their parents for your attendance each week.
Its been a blast and we are already looking forward to the 2021 season.

Limerick Senior Hurlers

It was another brilliant year for the Limerick Senior hurlers who went unbeaten in League and Championship to bring the Liam McCarthy Cup back to Shannonside. A brilliant achievement by the entire panel and management team which included 7 of our own players namely, Peter Casey, Will O Donoghue, David Dempsey, Adrian Breen, Conor Boylan, Jerome Boylan and Mike Casey. Unfortunately for Mike he picked up an injury early in the season and has now undergone surgery and is on the long road to recovery. We wish him well and congratulate all 7 including Alan Cunningham who has long been associated with the club.
With a total of 14 Limerick players nominated for all stars, our own Will O Donoghue is in hat for one at center field.
We wish Will the very best and here is hoping he makes it a 3rd All Star for Na Piarsaigh

Cash For Clobber

This was a hugely successful fundraiser for the club where old clothes, linen, shoes, handbags, belts etc were collected.
It began in early November and by the final collection day in mid December we had a mountain of bags of clobber.
A special thank you to Grainne Hickey and Pat O Neill who coordinated the event and all those who contributed to the fundraiser.
A final figure has yet to be finalised but all proceeds earmarked for 2 dugouts on the floodlit pitch.
